Why organic search here is its own problem

Nobody ranks on the Coast. They rank in a town.

"Sunshine Coast" is a region, not a place Google puts you at the top of. Someone standing in Caloundra and someone standing in Coolum are forty minutes apart, and the map results they see share very few businesses. Ranking across the Coast means earning a position in Caloundra, Kawana, Maroochydore, Buderim, Coolum, Noosa, Nambour and the hinterland towns, which is a longer job than ranking in one city and a very different one from buying the top of the page.

The region is also filling up fast, and that cuts both ways. New estates around Caloundra South, Palmview and Beerwah arrive with no established local name for half the trades and services people there need, so there is genuine ground still open. Meanwhile the established centres have businesses who have been at this for years, and Noosa in particular is contested well out of proportion to its size because so many businesses want the postcode attached to their name.

We won't put a number of weeks on any of it. How long it takes depends on where your site starts, who is already sitting where you want to be and how much needs fixing before anything can move, and nobody who tells you otherwise is measuring it. What we will do is show you what is moving each month and say so plainly when something isn't. If you need work sooner than that, Google Ads on the Sunshine Coast is the faster lever, and our Sunshine Coast marketing agency page covers how the two run together.

What we do

What the organic work actually covers.

01

Your Google Business Profile rebuilt

Categories, services, hours and photos set against what Coast customers actually search, plus a review process your team can keep up with after we've gone.

02

A real page for each town you work in

Pages written about Maroochydore, Caloundra or Noosa because you work there, with the jobs and the local detail to prove it. Not one page with the name swapped ten times.

03

A page for every service worth having

Each job you want more of gets its own page, so the searches you care about have somewhere specific to land instead of a single services page trying to cover all of it.

04

The technical work that was holding it back

Speed on a phone, pages Google can find and read, and the structured data that tells search engines who you are and where you work.

05

Listings and reviews cleaned up

Old addresses, dead phone numbers and half-finished directory listings corrected, so the details following your business around the web all say the same thing.

06

Reporting on enquiries, not rankings

Calls and form enquiries from organic search counted separately from ads, so you can see what the work returned rather than reading a list of keyword positions.

Who it suits

Where organic search is worth the wait on the Coast.

SEO suits businesses that intend to still be here in five years and would rather own the enquiries than rent them. It rewards anyone with a long list of services or a wide patch to cover, because every one of those is a search someone is typing. It suits a new business in a growing estate for the opposite reason: there's nobody entrenched there yet.

Trades and home services Building and renovation Landscaping and pools Law firms Accounting and bookkeeping Mortgage and finance brokers Real estate and property Marine and auto Hospitality and venues Retail with a shopfront

The detail changes by industry. SEO for tradies goes deeper on the map results and suburb pages, SEO for law firms covers practice area pages, and SEO for accountants covers the searches that cluster around tax time.

Common questions

SEO on the Sunshine Coast questions.

How long does SEO take on the Sunshine Coast?
We won't give you a number of weeks, because we can't back one. It depends on what your website and profile look like now, how contested your industry is in your part of the Coast, and how much has to be fixed before anything can move. Profile and listing work usually shows up first, new pages take longer because Google has to find and trust them, and the most contested searches take longest of all. You'll see what's moving each month either way.
How much do SEO services cost here?
It comes down to how many services and towns you want to be found in, and how much groundwork your site needs first. We quote after the free marketing review rather than publishing a range that would be wrong for most businesses. Month-to-month, 30 days notice, no minimum term.
Is affordable SEO on the Sunshine Coast worth it?
It depends entirely on what's being sold. Cheap SEO is often a monthly report, a handful of directory listings and nothing that changes your website. That costs little and returns less. What's worth paying for is the work itself: pages built, the profile fixed, the technical problems cleared. If a quote doesn't say which of those you're getting, ask before you sign.
Can I rank across the whole Coast, Caloundra to Noosa?
Over time, and not evenly. You'll always be strongest near where you're based and where you have reviews and jobs to show. Reaching the far end of the Coast means giving Google a reason to associate you with those towns, which is real pages and real work there rather than a list of suburb names in your footer.
Do you build a page for every suburb?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who offers to. Ten copies of one page with the suburb swapped are what Google calls doorway pages, and they tend to get ignored or cause trouble. We build pages for the areas where you have something real to say: jobs you've done, the local conditions you deal with, photos from nearby work.
Are you based on the Sunshine Coast?
No. We're on the Gold Coast and we work with Coast businesses remotely, with calls, shared reporting and a drive up when a meeting is worth doing in person. The work happens in your website and your Google Business Profile, both of which stay yours.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and nobody can. Google's results change constantly and the map results shift depending on where the person searching is standing, so "number one" isn't a single thing to guarantee. What we commit to is the work, honest reporting on calls and enquiries, and telling you when something isn't working.
Should I run Google Ads at the same time?
Often, yes. Ads bring work in while the organic side builds, and they can be switched off when you're booked out. Plenty of Coast businesses run both. Google Ads on the Sunshine Coast covers the paid side, and we'll say if one on its own is the better use of your budget.
